The world of music rights can be fairly complex, particularly in the Middle East, making it difficult to license rights in a simple, efficient manner. PopArabia provides a range of consultancy services and has acted as creative music supervisors licensing international and Arabic music to feature films, television series, documentaries and advertising campaigns regionally and internationally
In 2024, Egyptian singer-songwriter Ramy Gamal released Beykalemony (بيكلموني), which went on to top The Official MENA Chart in May of that year — putting him at No. 1 alongside global names like Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter. It capped a remarkable run for the Mansoura-born artist, who spent years as one of Egypt’s most in-demand composers, writing over 200 songs for other stars before launching his solo career in 2011 with the album Maleesh Daawa Behad. Today his YouTube channel alone has racked up more than 480 million views.
